Exit 7 Players

Preform "Oliver" by Lionel Bart

By Mary Jane Disco June 28, 2013
The Exit 7 Youth Players is in rehearsal for their annual summer show.  This year they are performing Oliver by Lionel Bart.

Oliver, the musical, was written in the   1960's and was based on the novel, Oliver Twist, written by Charles Dickens. It was set in the Victorian England of the mid-1800's.

Mary Jane Disco, stage director for this show, collaborated with George Garber, music director, and Curtis Lemoine, choreographer, to bring you Oliver with a "new twist ."  We have set the story in 21st century London.  The story is the same  - homelessness, abuse, crime etc along with kindness, farmer's markets and hope.

Our costumes are contemporary and our dances are those we enjoy today - hip hop, stomp, rap, robot, as well as ballet and jazz.

The  cast ranges in age from 6-18 and come from Chicopee, Granby, Monson, Wilbraham, Westfield and more. This is a fun-filled way to introduce your children to the wonderful world of musical theater.

For ticket information go to www.Exit7players.org.  Note the reduced prices for groups of ten or more.

You"ll leave the theater dancing and singing and saying, as Oliver does, 'Please sir, I want some more.'
