Dog Days of Summer

By Carrie Hotte July 21, 2021
Sorry I missed you all last week! We returned late in the week from our family trip to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and as I'm sure you all know, returning from vacation with kids usually requires a vacation in itself.  But don't worry, I was hustling for you all week long, working hard to find you all the family fun going on in town!

How about all those rain storms we have been having! My son's football games had to get canceled for 2 weeks straight and our garden hasn't been doing so hot. Looking for something to do on a rainy day, we got you covered. Be sure to check out our event's calendar for all the local listings of family fun events going on.

If it hasn't been raining, then it's been extremely humid, but you are sure to "Beat the Heat" at Altitude Trampoline Park! Get more information on Jump Passes, Birthday Parties and Junior Jump Jam HERE!

Even though the weather hasn't been the greatest, I hope that you have been able to enjoy the summer with as many family gatherings and cookouts as we have! With all the parties we have been to so far this year, I think we are making up for staying home all summer last year! If you are looking for a new healthy recipe to bring to your next summer barbecue, check out my recipe for Summer Chicken Salad HERE.

One of our favorite things about summer is all the ice cream shops that are opened up. My youngest daughter and I planned a date to get an ice cream for a reward and ended up discovering our new favorite spot. You can check that story out HERE.

If too much summer fun has you putting on weight or messing with your health and fitness goals, you can always join my next health and fitness challenge with a brand new workout program that came out. I have all the details and even a FREE workout for you to try! Get your sweat on with me and burn off those summer indulgences!

Don't let all this summer fun run you down because before you know it the kids will be back in school and you will be off to the races with all the extra curricular activities!! Now is the time to start registering those little girls in the all so loved dance classes that they missed in person last year! Be sure to check out our 2021 Guide to Dance Studios and School of Performing Arts!

Be sure to check back next week when we bring you the top 10 events of August and keep checking those events calendars because we are finally getting to fill them up for you!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Love and Noodles!

Pleasure to Meet You!!

Hi, I'm Carrie. I have been with my husband Matt for over 10 years and we have 5 children and a fur baby.  I'm originally from Chicopee and although I have moved around a few times in my life, we have been living in our home in Aldenville for 9 years now.  My family and I love our neighborhood and enjoy connecting with others.   When I am not homeschooling our 4 youngest children, I enjoy hiking, exercising, reading and traveling.
